I've come to the realization that we don't spend nearly enough time talking about one of the greatest series of all times.....which holds the title through an explosively compact 6 episodes. That's right....you know the one. FLCL (I don't necessarily agree with this review....it isn't at all mindless. I certainly DON'T shut off my major brain functions to watch this......I usually like these people, but I have to go ahead and disagree here)!!! What is Fooly Cooly?? No one knows. Does anyone completely understand it?? Probably not even the writers. I do know that I want to get my hands on that booklet that comes with the third disc. I also know that I refuse to support Gainax being WHORES and only putting 2 eps on a disc for 24 bucks....that's like 2400 yen. I don't have that kind of money. Ha...I'm a dork.

Yes...so I just had the pleasure of watching the whole of FLCL (that review is more correct...but boring) with someone who actually hadn't seen it yet. And I didn't know if he would like it. And he said that it at least kept him entertained....and it was better than he expected. Which I interpret as....FLCL rocks. (Hrm...can no one write a good review....this one is better-ish. B+ though?? Just cause you don't understand Gainax?? F that) Cause if AP could say that about it and it doesn't have nonstop fighting and a lot of blood...it must still be doing SOMETHING right. He's got Eva though (hmm..that review is interesting and insightful. And they know it)....and I want to see Eva (I debated whether to put up that one or the ANN review of the platinum...I decided this one cause the other one was too specific to that particular dvd...though now I guess you have them both...oops). Same studio and all. I also found it amusing that many of the things he would ask us about (especially from the 4th episode on) I would simply explain with the words "Studio Gainax". That's enough explanation. Though not when it comes to the shite job they did on the end of Kare Kano (Haha...that review is right on when talking about the ending). Oops...we ran out of budget. We'll stretch this as far as we can even though the last half of the series sucks now. But yes...FLCL. Good. (Read the reviews at the end of the link to Amazon...those people know what's up. Except that last guy....he can lick my ass)

God damn right it is. And the music kicks ass too. The Pillows are truly the kings. (Mmmm...badass reviews. I like the opening to the second paragraph...a lot).
